Renovexus, a kitchen and bath directory, has named 407 businesses in 102 towns as its Top Rated 2026 award winners. The winners are showrooms, cabinet stores, countertop fabricators and remodelers in Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, Philadelphia and the District of Columbia, picked from public ratings and license records.

The Renovexus Top Rated 2026 page explaining how winners are picked: up to 3 businesses per town and category from the same public data every listing is scored on, 407 winners with one award each, and the green Top Rated 2026 badge a winner can show on its own website

In each town and category where at least three businesses located in the town compete, Renovexus named up to three winners, ranked by the public score explained on its verification page. The score weighs a matched license, the Google rating and review count, a website that confirms the service and profile completeness. Every winner is rated 4.5 or higher on Google from at least 15 reviews, and a business can win once a year.

Of the 2,883 businesses Renovexus lists, 1,818 met that rating bar. The 407 winners average 4.85 stars and have a median of 65 reviews, according to Google data Renovexus collected, mostly in September 2026.

Kitchen, bathroom and basement remodelers must also have an active license record that Renovexus matched and dated. The checks use state records in Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey and City of Philadelphia licenses. Renovexus does not yet show license records in Georgia or D.C., so winners there are showrooms and stores. Showrooms, cabinet stores and countertop fabricators win in their own trade without a license check.

In Philadelphia, the Department of Licenses and Inspections issued stop-work orders on Dec. 20, 2025, on more than 80 active projects linked to one unlicensed contractor, according to a city release dated Dec. 22, 2025. Basil Merenda, commissioner of the department's Inspections, Safety and Compliance unit, said in that release: "Contractors must adhere to the licensing requirements and established safety standards, or they will not be permitted to build in this city."

"Every award comes from data a homeowner can check: the rating and reviews on Google, the license record and the score on each business's profile," said Sezgin Arslan, marketing director at Renovexus. "No business can pay to win, and a winner that stops meeting the rules loses its award at the next update."

As of Oct. 29, 2026, Virginia had 147 winners, Georgia 92, Maryland 81, New Jersey 72 and Philadelphia 11, with four in Washington, D.C. Countertop fabricators won 146 awards and kitchen and bath showrooms 111, followed by kitchen remodelers with 72, cabinet stores with 56, basement finishing contractors with 14 and bathroom remodelers with eight.

Paid Featured placement on Renovexus plays no part in the awards, and winning requires no payment, link or review. Some listed businesses pay Renovexus's team for marketing, including nine winners; the same rules applied, and their entries say so. Optional award kits, plaques and crystal awards are sold separately and never change a score, rank or award.

The winners are listed by state and town beside the award rules. Each entry shows the rank, Google rating, any license check and a profile link. Winners can add an optional badge to their websites.
