AUSTIN, Texas — September 2026 — xPM Solution will present Prediction AI in Project Controls at Project Controls Expo USA 2026, October 5–7 at Nationals Park, Washington, D.C. Omer Bisen, PhD, founder and CEO, will speak on October 7 in Session T10 and exhibit at Stand 39.
The session asks a practical Project Controls question: what must be in place before Prediction AI can produce forward-looking insight that is sufficiently grounded and governed to support a consequential project decision?

Connected systems are not necessarily integrated systems. APIs move data, but management still needs consistent meaning across scope, schedule, cost, procurement, contracts, risk, and change. xPM’s approach uses a Project Controls Plan to provide a governed project context across existing systems.
Available information is not automatically authorized evidence. Source authority, version, and project context determine whether information can support an analysis or decision.

The presentation distinguishes among three AI roles.
Generative AI helps extract, organize, summarize, and explain project evidence.
Agentic AI supports bounded workflows under defined permissions and approval gates.
Prediction AI strengthens foresight through ranges, quantiles, probabilities, and scenarios where evidence and model quality justify it. Outputs intended to influence a material decision are subject to validation and governance, including assumptions, backtesting, calibration, and visible limitations where applicable.
A forecast can inform a decision. It is not the decision.

Different questions require different evidence and different methods.

Where evidence is incomplete, the output remains conditional. Where a forecast has not been computed, a number should not be presented simply to complete the page. Where management authority is required, AI does not inherit that authority from the analysis it produced.
“The useful question is not whether AI can produce more output,” Bisen said. “It is whether the output is grounded well enough, early enough, and clearly enough to improve a management decision.”
